Ritualización del acto de donación de órganos vitales: el sujeto comunicacional, las mediaciones (medios)

Introduction: the theory of cultural mediation provides an interesting analytical perspective to allow the approach of this donation act as an action mediated by cultural factors, examining the impression of the mass media like an important mediation.Objective: to interpret the meanings given by the subjects involved in the act of organs donation from the role of cultural mediation. Method: the methodology used for data collection is primarily qualitative. It was used a theoretical sample of subject types. In agreement with such methods, the observation, interviews, and the experts criteria, were all applied. Results: among the most important results it was confirmed in the interviewees the existence of a matrix of opinion favoring the donation, coinciding with the macro socially established criteria, through the Program of Donation and Transplantation of organs, tissues and cells; and with the formal statements and public images projected by the mass media. Conclusions: in general, the presence of performing operations (impulsive), rather than decoding, permitted to perceive the role of mediation in the building of codes, confirming that the media codes contribute to structure and control the behavior of the subjects involved.Subject heading: TISSUE AND ORGAN PROCUREMENT; PERSUASIVE COMMUNICATION; MASS MEDIA; COMMUNICATIONS MEDIA   Introducción: la teoría de las mediaciones culturales ofrece una perspectiva analítica interesante al permitir abordar este acto de donación como acción mediada por factores culturales, auscultando la impronta de los medios de comunicación masiva como mediación importante.Objetivo: interpretar los significados otorgados por los sujetos vinculados al acto de donación de órganos desde el papel de las mediaciones culturales.Método: la metodología utilizada para la recogida de los datos es, fundamentalmente cualitativa. Se utilizó una muestra teórica de sujetos tipos. En consonancia con dichos métodos se utilizaron la observación y las entrevistas en profundidad, también la consulta a los expertos.Resultados: entre los resultados más importantes se corroboró entre los manzanilleros entrevistados la existencia de una matriz de opinión a favor de la donación, coincidiendo con el criterio instituido macro socialmente, a través del Programa de Donación y Trasplante de Órganos, Tejidos y células; y con las declaraciones formales e imagen pública que proyectan los medios de difusión masiva.Conclusiones: en general, la presencia de operaciones interpretativas (abductivas), más que decodificadoras, permitieron percibir el papel de las mediaciones en la construcción de códigos, corroborando que los códigos mediáticos contribuyen a estructurar y a controlar el comportamiento de los sujetos involucrados

Social need of a correct language preparation in English of the students from the clinical cycle of medicine career

El  presente trabajo, "Necesidad social de un correcta  preparación idiomática  en lengua inglesa  de los estudiantes del ciclo clínico de la carrera de medicina.", aborda elementos significativos en relación al proceso de comunicación social de una correcta preparación  idiomática en  lengua inglesa con fines médicos  en los estudiantes del quinto año  de carrera en lengua  Inglesa  con fines médicos. En el mismo se realiza un análisis sobre la base de las contradicciones  del programa actual de la disciplina Inglés  y su relación con la formación idiomática en lengua inglesa de los alumnos que cursan el quinto año de la carrera de medicina y además se identifican las principales contradicciones  que aparecen en dicho proceso. A raíz de lo cual emerge un problema social expresado en las  limitaciones en el desarrollo del proceso comunicativo en lengua inglesa con fines médicos que presentan los estudiantes del quinto año de la carrera de medicina y que  van en detrimento de un elevado y buen servicio de salud con el que se aspira contar en su futuro desempeño profesional. Se caracteriza además el proceso de formación idiomática en el quinto año  de la carrera de medicina y se ponen de manifiesto los desaciertos presentes en el mismo. Se hace una revisión al plan de estudio de la carrera para conocer  cuál es la  aportación de la disciplina antes mencionada en el proceso de formación del médico en sus problemas profesionales, objeto de trabajo, modos y esferas de actuación, lo que justifica la necesidad social de su estudio. Este problema tiene contradicciones epistemológicas, culturales, éticas y científicas que confirman la necesidad de su investigación. Investigaciones relacionadas con el tema no declaran la importancia de la dimensión social de la comunicación en lengua inglesa con fines médicos en la formación profesional lo que constituye el aporte científico fundamental.The present paper, "Social need of a correct language preparation in English of the students from the clinical cycle of the medicine career", deals with significant elements in relation to the process of social communication of a correct language preparation in English for medical purposes in the fifth year students of English language medical career. In this work it is carried out an analysis on the basis of the contradictions of the current program of English discipline and its relation to the language formation in English language of the students who attend the fifth year of  medicine career and there are also identified the main contradictions that appear in this process. From which a social problem emerges and it is expressed through limitations in the development of the communicative process of English for medical purposes that fifth year medical students present and go to the detriment of a high and full service of health that we expect to obtained in their future professional performance. It is also characterized the process of language formation in the fifth year of the medical career and there are evidenced the mistakes that it presents. It is performed a revision to the plan of study of the career to know what is the contribution of the aforementioned discipline in the process of formation of the doctors in their professional problems, work, modes and spheres of action, what justifies the social need of its study. This problem has epistemological, cultural, ethical and scientific contradictions which confirm the need for their research.
